The Book of Mormon says nothing about storing food, except when the Book of Mormon peoples were laying up stores in the event they were attacked by their enemies, but also gives the same spiritual guidance, that the Lord will take care of us and knows all about us. The Bible does talk about laying aside stores of food, in the story of Joseph who was sold into Egypt. Remember the seven good years and the seven years of famine? Our modern prophets have taught us likewise how to be self reliant, and many Latter-day Saints have lived off their food storage during times of unemployment or disaster.

if the book of mormon doesn't contradict the bible then can u explain why mormon doctrine teaches to save up and store their goods for bad times, but in Matthew 6:19-21, jesus teaches to not save up, and to put your trust in him
